2 A.M. is available for most kinds of private events and parties. The group specializes in offering you a thoroughly planned, professionally executed, completely personalized evening's worth of live entertainment that can be enjoyed by all. We feel that the key to a memorable event is in the time that's spent planning, consulting and preparing for it. This is one of the things that we feel sets us far apart from other groups. Being a good band is only one aspect, out of many, that are required for this type of event. We know of no other group that goes to the lengths that we do to plan and personalize your event with you, to help ensure that it turns out exactly the way that you had envisioned it. You're sure to be impressed by our professionalism, our attention to detail and our work ethic in planning and handling your private event.
When shopping for live entertainment, please keep in mind that there is normally much more involved with performing at an event like this than "just showing up & playing" like we would at a regular nightclub date. There is a considerable art in being able to plan and handle all of the details and responsibilities that are normally associated with events such as this, as well as, being able to execute that plan in a professional manner that seems effortless, seamless, and flawless to your guests. It takes experience in doing it together, to do it well, because everybody in the group is involved with what's happening. Between the four of us, we have over 100 years of combined professional performance experience. We've been working together in this particular group for almost 12 years and we've played over 2,400 dates together since the band first formed in 1996. We've performed together at many corporate events, weddings, nightclubs, private parties, other functions, and special events over the years.
The details and needs of our clients can vary widely for private events. We understand that every event is unique and that some are very complicated, while others are very simple. Not everyone plans to have a big, complicated affair with a bunch of hoopla included. If what you're looking for is a simple, "just show up and play" price, please let us know that fact when submitting the booking information form. Please keep in mind though, that a "just show up and play" price is exactly what the name implies it is. So, please be sure to advise us of what your requirements are, or what you've got in mind for the event (as best you can).

Things To Consider When Shopping For Live Entertainment:
We always advise potential clients to go see any band in person that they're considering hiring for their event before making a final decision. You really need to see for yourself exactly who and what you're hiring. Pay close attention to these things:
- How do they sound live? Note the overall clarity of the band's sound (Can you clearly hear all of the vocalists and instruments?). Also take note of the overall volume of the band (Is it too loud for the particular situation/audience?). Our drummer uses a complete set of electronic drums (including the snare drum and cymbals). This means that when we're playing, we're not trying to get the volume of all of our other instruments over the volume that's normally coming from the drums (as most bands have to do). An acoustic set of drums is a very loud instrument. To us, using them in a situation like this puts you at a disadvantage because the volume of the drums dictates what you're capable of doing with the rest of the band's overall volume and mix. It leaves you with little headroom to work with if you're trying to get the vocals, guitars, and other instruments over the volume that's normally coming from the drums. It's a vicious cycle. Think about it, do you really want your band's volume during the cocktail set (while everyone's mingling) to be as loud as it would be for the dance/party sets later in the night? Of course not. By using the equipment that we do, it gives us complete control of our presentation and we're able to appropriately adjust our overall volume to ensure that it matches what's currently going on during the event.
- Note the material that they play. Are the songs that the band is performing appropriate for the particular audience/situation, or are they just playing what they want to hear themselves? Every song that our band performs at your party will come from a list that's 100% pre-approved by you. We have over 260 songs in our repertoire, in a wide variety of styles, so we can usually please just about anyone's tastes. We will gladly provide copies of our song list at the event if you'd like for your guests to be able to make a few song requests.
- If the band is playing "cover" songs, do they sound like the original? We go to great lengths to faithfully reproduce the songs that we perform as you know them. And while it's OK to sometimes take a little bit of "creative license" when performing other artist's music, you can't stray too far away from the original arrangement or you end up with a song that's unfamiliar to your audience. If you'd like to see and hear some samples of us performing other artist's music, please visit our Audio/Video page to view and listen to some of our demos.
- Take note of how they interact with a crowd. How a group presents themselves live to an audience is a good indicator of the job that they'll do for you and the professionalism with which they'll handle your event. If you'd like to see us for yourself, please just take a look at our calendar to see where we're playing each week. We welcome you to attend one of our club dates anonymously when you're shopping for entertainment for your event, or by all means, please feel free to introduce yourself and say hello.
- What about the equipment they use? The band's equipment should be high quality, professional gear, in good working order. We use over $40k worth of equipment when performing for events such as this. We use only the best. Our P.A. speakers are a high quality, completely matched system by JBL Professional (SRX-Series). Our mixing console (Crest Audio XR-20) and other outboard gear rivals or exceeds that of anyone you'll see performing on this level, anywhere. We've gone to great lengths and expense to build our system. When it comes to the equipment that you depend on every night, there are no shortcuts, and we've taken none with the equipment that we use. If you'd like a detailed list of our equipment, we'll be happy to provide you with one upon request.
- As far as our rates... We're well aware that there are other bands out there who will perform for your event for less money than we will. But it's our belief that you get what you pay for, especially when it comes hiring professional live entertainment. Do you really want to trust someone who will quote you the cheapest price, just to get the job? If your main concern when hiring entertainment is the bottom-line price, then we're probably not the right band for you. If, however, you want to be sure that you get what you want, when you want it, how you want it, and that you've hired an experienced professional who will spend the time necessary to do the job right, then we're definitely the right choice for you.
To secure your date with us, we require a 50% security deposit in advance and for you to sign a standard entertainment booking agreement with us.
